Packaging together, creating impact together: GAASCH PACKAGING x AMAB
What if a packaging solution wasn't just practical for the customer, but also created social value? It's with this idea in mind that GAASCH PACKAGING works ever more closely with AMAB, a sheltered workshop that offers people at a distance from the labour market opportunities for sustainable, meaningful work.
A partnership that clearly shows sustainability isn't just about materials, recycling or CO2 emissions. The way we work, and who we work with, makes a difference too.
A small step, a meaningful impact
AMAB supports companies with, among other things, assembly, co-packing and packaging activities. That's precisely where interesting points of overlap emerge with what we do at GAASCH PACKAGING.
A first project shows this in practice. For one customer, we supply glass sample bottles together with their matching caps. Rather than delivering both components separately, AMAB adds an extra step: the cap is partially pre-screwed onto the bottle.
A small detail? Perhaps. But one that makes things easier for the customer.
At the same time, this task creates meaningful work. In this way, a relatively simple packaging activity becomes a great example of how customer focus, efficiency and social impact can reinforce one another.
Looking beyond the packaging
For GAASCH PACKAGING, this partnership fits perfectly within our vision of sustainability. We don't just want to think about more sustainable packaging, but about the whole way we create value.
That's why we're exploring with AMAB which other activities we could take on. We're currently looking, among other things, at possibilities around the assembly of glass pipettes, and we're also considering other packaging and repackaging activities.
Tasks that used to be carried out in-house can in this way be handed over to a specialised partner. That gives our own teams more room to focus on their core activities, while at the same time contributing to social employment.
Packaging is sometimes just the beginning
Our ambition is clear: GAASCH PACKAGING wants to be more than just a packaging supplier.
A bottle, jar, cap or pipette is sometimes only one part of what a customer really needs. By listening carefully, thinking things through together and bringing the right partners on board, we can create solutions that fit the customer's process better.
The partnership with AMAB is a great example of this. It also fits perfectly with our work around the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO) and our commitment to a more sustainable value chain.
Because sustainability doesn't always require big changes. Sometimes impact simply starts with a cap screwed onto the right bottle at the right time.
