Two weeks ago, our Food & Beverage team visited Drinktec in Munich, one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for the beverage and liquid food industry. A wide range of trends, innovations and ideas were presented, but one topic consistently surfaced in conversations with both suppliers and clients: sustainability in primary packaging.

Sustainability is a central concern in the packaging industry. Regulatory changes, shifting consumer expectations, and supply chain challenges are accelerating the need for more sustainable approaches. But the growing volume of frameworks, regulations, and terminology can make it difficult to navigate.

GAASCH PACKAGING is proud to announce an important milestone on our sustainability journey: in our very first EcoVadis assessment in 2025, we were awarded the Bronze Medal, placing us among the top 35% of our sector. This recognition highlights our commitment to building a more sustainable and future-proof value chain.

Gaasch Packaging strengthens its sustainability journey by formally embedding sustainability into its operations, joining the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO). Through this program, we commit to taking concrete and measurable steps toward a future-focused and socially responsible business model.

Packaging Alliance Europe has expanded its reach in the Luxembourg and German markets with the strategic acquisition of Mathis Prost. This move significantly enhances the company’s position in the region, thanks to Mathis Prost’s strong reputation and established presence.

Our catalogue gives a first impression of our broad range of spirits bottles – from a strongly competitive bottle to the very unique glass packaging for premium products. Customers will discover the ideal bottle for their product or get an idea for their individual enquiry to us. As part of our strategic priority to help customers transition to a circular economy, we have added this interesting packaging solution to our range. This solution is reusable and – thanks to its monomaterial PP composition – fully recyclable through the regular household plastics recycling streams.

Contributing to a CIRCULAR ECONOMY is one of our group’s top priorities. Today, together with Flemish ministers Hilde Crevits and Zuhal Demir, GAASCH PACKAGING signed the "Green Deal Anders Verpakt" or "Green Deal Differently Packed". Together with more than 80 other leading companies and organisations, we commit to reduce the amount of single-use packaging in Flanders by 15,000 tons, which is equivalent to 300 million units.
