THE CHALLENGE
Greenspeed, the B2B spin-off of the renown ECOVER brand, was looking for a convenient closure to use across their range of Cradle-to-Cradle Certified industrial cleaning and handwash products. The closure needed to offer convenient one-handed opening and withstand the shocks and vibrations that can occur during the product’s life cycle.
Just like all other components, the closure had to fit into the Cradle-to-Cradle process, in which the main goals are to reduce waste, re-use raw materials and recycle products to make the material’s life cycle fully circular. Therefore, the closure had to respect the rules of ecodesign as a first challenge. The second challenge was on the supply chain side, with the need for flexible deliveries with short lead times.

OUR APPROACH
We looked for a monomaterial closure in natural colour to enable smooth recycling over and over again. Thanks to our reliable manufacturing partners and experienced packaging experts, we were able to propose a closure which fulfils recyclability needs while offering the required strength and convenience.
